A standard Rapido bike taxi receipt in India contains the following line items:

What is Rapido's GST Rate?

Rapido bike taxi rides attract 5% GST — not 18%. This is one of the most commonly misunderstood differences between bike taxi receipts and regular cab receipts.

      Cab Aggregators (Uber, Ola): 18% GST on convenience fee

      The lower GST rate on bike taxis is because two-wheelers fall under a different service classification under India's GST framework. This makes Rapido rides cheaper for the same distance compared to a cab, even before accounting for the lower base fare.

Importantly, on Rapido, the 5% GST is applied to the total fare (including base fare and distance fare), not just the platform fee. This is different from how Uber calculates GST.
